Keynote Speaker ~ Mark Shaw

Mark E. Shaw, D.Min., CABC, ACBC, IABC, CADAC II, is a biblical counselor, ordained minister, speaker, and author who has been involved in counseling since the early 90’s. He served in residential care and medication assisted treatment centers (methadone), but Biblical Counseling became his passion in 2001. He pursued certification with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC) and seminary training (Doctor of Ministry in Biblical Counseling) to replace his secular “mixture” mindset toward why and how people change. Eager to see local churches all over the world understand the excellencies of the biblical worldview for counseling, he launched Truth in Love Ministries, (TIL), bringing biblical counseling training in teams of two to local churches around Alabama and around the world. Dr. Shaw has taught in 8 different countries on 5 continents.

He then envisioned a strategic outreach arm of TIL, The Addiction Connection, to provide addictions biblical counselor training, addiction resources with a searchable network of people and programs, and a relational commissioning process. With the publication of 26 books and booklets of hope and help, most notably The Heart of Addiction: A Biblical Perspective; Relapse: Biblical Prevention Strategies; and his 2022 release in The Transformation Series, Fentanyl, Dr. Shaw has reached many thousands with “the hope of the Gospel for the heart of addiction.”

He now serves his local church full-time as the Director of Counseling at Grace Fellowship Church, Florence, KY, while serving as the President of The Addiction Connection, which has grown to a network of over 100 biblically minded addiction ministry leaders who hold the CABC credential, Commissioned Addictions Biblical Counselor.
